Aerospace Education/R&D Center in Rockford
$250,000 is requested for the Aerospace Education/Research and Development Center (ERD) to bolster the manufacturing – aerospace industry in the Rock River Valley region. The northern Illinois region is quickly establishing a cluster of aerospace-related manufacturing businesses. These funds will support the ongoing development and operations of the ERD center in partnership with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Northern Illinois University, Rock Valley College and other small business incubator programs in the community to help create and grow new businesses, and create new high-skilled manufacturing jobs.
