Keith Creek Flood Control Project in Rockford
$233,000 is requested for the Keith Creek Watershed Feasibility Study (Alpine Dam) -- being conducted by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and City of Rockford -- to identify a comprehensive flood control remedy for the entire Keith Creek corridor in Rockford, IL. This area of the city has recently experienced two 100-year floods impacting hundreds of homes and businesses. These federal funds will match local dollars to complete this important design study.
