$500,000 is requested for the Rockford West Side Economic Development Initiative, a major development on 57-acre parcel located at the northeast corner of the West State and Springfield Ave intersection in the city of Rockford. Due to site constraints and market conditions, public sector assistance is needed to construct the infrastructure necessary to make the development a success.  This economic development initiative will provide much needed employment for west side residents.  Federal funding will assist with public infrastructure such as roads, sewer, stormwater, and other utilities.
